Job Title: Senior Research Fellow

Job Description: ICMR- National Institute of Nutrition requires a Senior Research Fellow (Non-Medical) with experience in Biochemical and Molecular Biology techniques. The position is on contractual basis as project staff. The candidates have no right to claim for any regular employment at this Institute The Director & Appointing Authority has the right to accept/ reject any application without assigning any reason(s) and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.

Eligibility: M.Sc. in Life Sciences (preferably Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Zoology / Life Sciences) with previous experience in handling rodents is compulsory

Salary Range: Rs.35,000/- plus HRA

About the Organization:

National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) (https://www.nin.res.in/index.html) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a “Deficiency Disease Enquiry” and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged “Nutrition Research Laboratories” (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958. At the time of its golden jubilee in 1969, it was renamed as National Institute of Nutrition (NIN).

Applications will be received from the individuals on 29th August 2019 between 9:30 A.M. and 10:30 A.M. in the Assembly Hall at NIN, Tarnaka, Hyderabad for Walk-in-Written Test/ Interview. Late applications will not be entertained after 10:30 A.M. under any circumstances. The application form will be provided to the candidates at NIN on the date of Walk-in- Written Test/ Interview.
